FUNKAL LEE GA AM

From Fajir’s early morning, he woke up to work for his family,

Pressured uncountable time because his efforts are often primary,

His feelings are completely unnoticeable, confident but at times secondary.

Every traceable sweat is to make his family comfortable, precisely fading by the day.

That woman thought he had to be treated like an animal.

Because their services are undervalued, but even robots appreciate their inventors.

Society is quite good at judging him, his pain is stuck in his throat.

That even his rape cases are recklessly handled, thrown into the bin.

The context of being a man has silently murdered many men,

They have no voice, and the majority of our people have sidelined them.

While the Quran opens that gate of mutual love and understanding for both

That built a man’s life, honoring him and heeding quite a rich status.

That breached injustice, building proper leadership commands.

For both to live harmoniously with good proceedings

Settled disputes amicably but society appreciates artificial laws

Shadowing the dealings, the suffering in their households, yet they never break down.

I would be selfish if my pen refused to ride on men

I believe we are corrupted by virtue of social media war,

That draws us into judgement of other people’s failure.

I believe that we refused to give man his due, levied his scale as inconsiderable.

Quick to undermine his words because, for us, we forgot that his imperfect.

Reaping his sweats on his daily gills, at least be grateful to him.

He’s just a flesh and bone that also needs comfort.

Looking down at my niece, reminding her that peace is a privilege.

It’s the most powerful tool to cool down a heartbroken heart.

Dear woman, preach peace, cease fire, build love and live happily ever after.

Build it every day, not just one day, because what keeps a man is based on peace.
